Poster for "Food for life"

PROJECT 3.
PSA Campaign for
nonprofit organisation
 "FOOD FOR LIFE"

The purpose of this campaign is to attract attention
 of wide public to the healthy life style and vegetarian food;
It also calls to share with others, who are starving, who are in need or who are just interested in trying this food.
This is kind of a food preaching of position of a big hearted giver, teaching people how nice it is to share and give to others.
I have an experience of food destribution in my native city Pskov in Russia under the name of nonprofit local organization  called “Food for life”. It was so fabulous!
The objective of the project was to create a series of three, professional quality, print ad posters that could be used in a Public Service Announcement (PSA) print campaign. These posters promote an important issue of healthy food for everyone on this planet that affects individuals and communities.
The main idea  of "Food for life" project is represented in one word: "Share"
1. To promote healthy vegetarian food for eating
2. To invite people to share healthy food with others.

The most pleasant part of this project was our discussion with my peers and our instructor. I loved reading my peers' posts and their feedback for my work. I think that this is very important for artists to be  a part of  a team and don't stew in our own juice.
First part of this project was a fine images research.
My idea reqired a line of fine artistic pictures of vegetarian food.  I've found a lot of mouth  watering vegan images with the help of my instructor and my peers on free sites, like www.unsplash.com and www.pexles.com. So I've changed my concept a little bit to vegan.
The most difficult thing about this project was to find and appropriate text for the poster and that we should have made it without any scaffolding. I had several ideas for the effective motto:
1. Share your plate
2. Share your veg plate and be happy
3. Share your plate of kindness
4. Expand your table for others
5. Enjoy your healthy food and share with others
My peers liked t"Expand your table for others",  but  it didn't work at the image sketching stage and this work went in another diraction.
The task was to make a set of three posters with variation. I've chosen two quite similar with variations for posters 1 and 3. The photos were taken by Anna Pelzer and Tangerine Newt. The most bright and colorful is Poster 2 in the middle. The pic of delicious vegan food was made by Nadine Primeau.
The last poster is very simple and readable. I didn't want to make some complicated effects with the type. All posters have the same heading and subheading, the same type characteristics and position on the artboard. it helps them to be more or less in a one style.
